Winter is here and it's time to prepare the house for the arrival of Father Christmas. And so, every year, the Tolkien family prepared for the Christmas festivities, the celebration of Yule and the winter season. As every year, Mr. J. R. R. Tolkien wrote and drew letters to his four children. These letters came from the Cliff House, at the very North Pole, and told of the adventures of Father Christmas, the North Polar Bear, the elves and goblins who lived there, and the visit of the Man in the Moon.
In honour of those memories, whether happy or sad, that we all have at this time of the year, I wanted to compose a few songs inspired by the compilation book of "Letters from Father Christmas" by J. R. R. R. Tolkien.
All the songs have been performed and recorded by Sisslith using Juno D50, Kawai K1 and Juno DS keyboards, except track #8, composed and performed by my dear friend Old Toby (Deep Gnome), whom I would like to thank for his participation in this album.
Track #9 is inspired by traditional Christmas carol “Deck The Halls”.
The album cover has been designed and drawn by Daniel Ricarte, taking as inspiration the drawings made by J. R. R. R. Tolkien himself in his Father Christmas letters.
The tape cassettes will be available in December through WereGnome Records, with a different colour cover made with pencil and watercolour.

A dreamy, beguiling, nostalgic dungeon synth quest through the shires. But, it's so much more than that. The LP incorporates some unique key changes, field recordings and a lot of Mort Garson style synth work. It sometimes reminds me of old 70's PG horror soundtracks. The record is addictive melancholy inspiration. The ideal music for accompanying the dawning morning of an epic adventure. brantly

Jordan Vauvert

Probably the best in the Fugitive's repertoire of raw, symphonic, buzzsaw poems of dark fantasy. May it have its knightly tinge, it appears to be a more somber exposition in my mind's eye. The first track envisaged for me, a grim and hopeless struggle of a bloody and dirtied knight, the listener, fighting an uphill battle in darkness that has all but extinguished his or her inner light. Despite setback, the warrior stands time and again, and embraces the agonizing woe of assiduity. Shoigunjinsho
